Tree Pruning
Trees require pruning for many different reasons, including:
Formative pruning – this technique involves carefully shaping a tree to achieve a particular aesthetic style or appearance.
Crown Reduction – Crown reductions reduce the overall size of the tree by reducing the tree’s height, spread and volume. This will minimize the sail area of the tree. It is an excellent method to consider if a tree is too large for its environment or blocking light and is an alternative to removing the tree.
Crown Lifting – This involves removing or pruning back lower branches and is a good technique to use to create more light or better views. It is also a useful way to improve lawnmower, pedestrian or vehicle access.
Thinning – this is done to permit new growth, allow better air circulation and create more light.
Deadwooding – Removing dead, diseased or decaying branches to promote tree health and ensure safety
Storm Damage – Removing storm-damaged branches or trees. This protects the health of the tree and ensures the surrounding environment is safe.
Tree Removal
We are specialists in all tree removals including difficult trees and trees in confined spaces.
Our qualified Arborists will assess the tree to decide the safest way to remove it. Dismantling the tree is often the safest way of removal. This involves climbing the tree and using specialist rigging techniques to bring it down safely in manageable pieces. In some cases we can fell from the ground if the conditions permit. Certain situations require us to use a Cherry Picker or a Crane Truck to do the job safely.
Hedge Trimming
Maintaining and caring for hedges requires knowledge and skill, our Arborists use their experience and precision to create the perfect hedge. Regular maintenance ensures good health and a lush hedge that doesn’t get too woody and allows easier ongoing maintenance.
Stump Grinding
All-Tree Services can easily remove any tree stump using our fast and efficient stump grinders. Our specialist machine is 74cm wide and designed to get into many tight spaces.
We have everything from hand-held grinders for terraced gardens and raised beds, through to our tracked stump grinder with site clearing capabilities.
Once the stump has been ground out, it is then easier to replant or reinstate with topsoil and grass seed.

Bracing & Cabling – the use of cables and braces to support and stabilise trees.
Air Spade – this is a hand held tool that produces a supersonic stream of air that effectively penetrates and dislodges many types of soils, exposing the root system of a tree. The process is harmless to objects such as buried pipes, plant roots or cables.
Section Clearance – complete section clearance if required.
Section Reinstatement – of soil and grass if required.
